Law school can be a significant financial investment, but numerous scholarships are available to help lighten the burden. While some application deadlines may have already passed, many new opportunities have just opened and they’re ready for your application.

Whether you're a prospective student or already enrolled, applying for multiple scholarships can greatly increase your chances of receiving aid. To help you get started, we've compiled a list of scholarship opportunities currently available as of May 2025.
Lucas Law Legal Leaders Scholarship:The Lucas Law Legal Leaders Scholarship is offering $1,000 to one student who is pursuing a career in the legal field! In order to qualify, you must have 3.5 GPA or higher and must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program through the Fall 2024 semester. A 500 word essay must also be submitted by May 14.
The Law Place - Law School Scholarship:The Law Place offers a $2,500 scholarship to one law student annually to help with the high cost of law school. To apply, submit an essay under 1,000 words on: “Who is your legal hero, living or dead?” Explain why they inspire you and how they’ve influenced your path. Make sure to follow their required format in order to be considered! The application deadline is May 15.
The Baker Law Firm Pillars of Justice Scholarship: The Baker Law Firm Pillars of Justice Scholarship awards $1,000 to a U.S. student pursuing a criminal justice degree at an accredited college or university. Applicants must be at least 17 years old, have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, and be undergraduate or graduate students. To apply, students must submit a 1,000-word essay on the role of judges in ensuring justice and the qualities, such as integrity or legal knowledge that influence fairness in criminal cases. Applicants must submit by May 19.
Schwartz Injury Law Perseverance Scholarship: Schwartz Injury Law offers a $1,000 Perseverance Scholarship for Fall 2025 to support a student who has overcome a serious injury or medical issue. Applicants must submit contact information, proof of enrollment, a professional headshot, and a 500–1,000-word essay discussing the challenges they faced due to their injury or medical condition, how they overcame them, and how the experience has prepared them for higher education and their future career. The application deadline is May 21.
Jenner Law Trial Lawyers Make a Difference Scholarship: Jenner Law’s Make a Difference Scholarship awards two $2,500 scholarships (one undergrad, one grad) to students with a 3.0+ GPA who are committed to social justice and creating positive change. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted at a U.S. school and submit an original, AI-free essay (under 1,000 words)—no use of the word “passion”—on how their degree will make a difference.Only the first 500 applications will be accepted. Deadline is May 30.
Staton Silber P.S. Workers' Comp Legal Studies Scholarship: Staton Silber, P.S. offers $4,000 in scholarships annually to support future leaders in law and public service. Awards include a $2,000 Legal Studies Scholarship for one law student and two $1,000 Undergraduate Scholarships for students interested in law or public service. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and enrolled or accepted at an accredited U.S. school. A 400–600 word original essay is required where law students must discuss their motivation to pursue law and career goals, while undergraduates should explain their degree choice and plans to contribute to their community. Submissions due May 31.
The American Lawyers Alliance Scholarship: The scholarship honors Catherine G. Jurgemeyer’s legacy of promoting civic and legal education, offering $10,000 to a student offered by the American Lawyers Alliance, is open to high school seniors with a strong record in law-related education. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have a GPA of 3.5+, and plan to attend a 4-year accredited college. Requirements include a 500–750 word essay on “How my Law-Related Education and Activities Inspire Me,” a transcript, SAT/ACT scores, academic resume, 2+ letters of recommendation, and an online application. All information must be submitted by May 31.
