The Business & Finance Pathway supports students interested in careers across business, finance, consulting, accounting, banking, and related professional fields.

Barrier Breakers provides expert college admissions advising aligned with business and finance interests, paired with mentorship and long-term support throughout college and beyond. Our work begins by helping students select colleges and programs that position them for success in competitive business-oriented pathways.


Business and finance careers often rely heavily on networks, insider knowledge, and early exposure. First-generation students are frequently excluded from these informal systems.

This pathway exists to ensure students have access to mentorship, guidance, and opportunities that support long-term career mobility — regardless of background. Students in this pathway are supported from high school through college and into early career or graduate preparation, depending on their goals.

MBA Advising & Graduate Business Programs

Graduate business programs — including MBA pathways — require specialized, field-specific expertise.

For students pursuing MBAs or other graduate business programs, Barrier Breakers refers students to a vetted network of trusted partners for admissions strategy and application support.

For students who pursue graduate business programs, including MBAs, we continue this support throughout graduate school. For those who enter the workforce directly, we remain engaged during early career stages — helping students navigate transitions, challenges, and growth opportunities.

Barrier Breakers is not involved in MBA admissions advising directly, but we remain a consistent presence supporting students’ long-term success.

As a mentor, you provide guidance, encouragement, and insight into professional pathways. As a student sponsor, you make it possible for aspiring low-income students to receive expert advising, continued wellness support, and long-term mentorship at no cost — ensuring they are supported every step of the way.
