Scholarships to Apply to in March 2025

Law school can be costly, and the price tag may seem daunting for students considering applying. However, there are many scholarship opportunities available to help ease the financial burden! While some deadlines may have passed, new scholarships are now open and ready for applications. At Barrier Breakers®, Inc., our mission is to offer resources and services that support students in their pursuit of law school, including financial assistance to reduce the stress of tuition costs.

Many organizations offer scholarships to help both prospective and current law students cover their tuition expenses. The more scholarships you apply for, the greater your chances of receiving financial aid. To assist you in getting started, we've put together a list of scholarships offering financial support as of March 2025.

  1. Freedman Law, LLC Workplace Rights Scholarship: In efforts to advocate for civil rights, the Freedman Law Workplace Rights Scholarship aids $1,000 to a student who are passionate about workers’ rights and civil rights. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in the spring 2025 semester of university or college as well as having a 3.5 GPA from the last intuition attended. Deadline to submit materials including a 250-500 word essay pr 2-3 minute video is March 10.

  2. CBCF Scholarships: The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) is offering many scholarships including The Ally Financial Law Scholars; providing financial assistance of $60,000 to students pursuing a law degree and CBF Reducing the Financial Barrier Scholarship; a scholarship for African American or Black scholars to reduce financial barrier offering a $10,000 scholarship. Both applications are due March 15 and have their own requirements. Check out more information in the given link!

  3. Andrew Cores Family Law Group Future Lawyers Scholarship: To assist law students on their college education, the Andrew Cores Family Law Group is offering a $2,000 scholarship. Each applicant must submit a 3-5 minute video answering what inspired you to pursue a career in the legal field and how do you see yourself impacting the legal community in the future? Deadline is March 17

  4. USLAW NETWORK Foundation Law School Scholarship: To apply for this scholarship, the applicant must be from an underrepresented population and background through racial identity and or identifies as LGBTQ+ or demonstrates a commitment to issues of diversity in their communities. Application requires materials such as a one-page type essay about how you promote diversity and inclusion. Submissions are due March 21.

  5. Islamic Scholarship Fund 20225 Scholarships: The Islamic Scholarship Fund is offering two scholarships that you can submit in March! The 2025 ISF Public Interest Legal Fellowship offers a salary of $70,000 to fund for one year of legal work at an organization for a recent law school graduate. This application requires two 500 word essays and other materials that need to be submitted by March 24. The other scholarship, the ISF Scholarship Application, is to increase opportunities for American Muslim in the political field, awarding awards ranging from $3,000-$10,000. Deadline to submit all required materials, including a demonstration of potential in impacting public opinion, is March 21.

  6. The Beinecke Scholarship: To apply to this scholarship, applicants must be a college junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree and plans to enter a research or creative-focused master’s or doctoral program in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. Applicants must submit a 1,000 words or less statement describing their career aspirations. The recipient will be awarded $5,000 and once in graduate school, will receive $30,000 in support of their education. Application is due March 28.

  7. Sidney B. Williams, JR. Scholar Program: This program seeks individuals who come from a STEM background and want to be admitted to an ABA-accredited law school. Applicants must be interested in patent law as a career and demonstrate commitment in the specific profession to apply. The recipient will receive a $30,000 tuition grant award to assist with educational costs. Submit by March 31.
