Many of you know the story of how S. Montgomery Admissions Consulting was born.
The power of strong essays changed my life.
Growing up in a military and Jamaican household, education was extremely important. However, as a first-generation student, I also know firsthand how daunting the admissions process can be. I owe the success of my college and law school admissions process to my dedicated teachers and parents who pushed me to achieve my full potential. S. Montgomery Admissions Consulting is an educational consulting firm that was born out of my decade of experience working with and inspiring students from all walks of life.
Over the last few years, we have continued to grow as a team. We have expanded the number of counselors and operations staff, we have been able to host free virtual conferences for college students and aspiring law school students, we have produced free guides and digital courses, and hosted two podcasts, Mindful Prayers for Students and Break into Law School™ alongside a Youtube Channel.
We have always been driven by a mission of bridging the equity gap in higher education.
After growing to a team of 10, working with 200+ students, and successfully seeing the power of writing to change their life, we knew that we could make more impact and do more to create a more equitable future.
Over the past few months we have worked to scale our proven writing method through the development of a patent-pending web application, Outline, which uses the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning to empower people further to craft better ideas and compelling writing. Outline It is positioned to be a leading writing tool for college students, law school applicants, law school students, and future attorneys.
Outline It helps us reach more students and create even more meaningful impact.
What does this mean for services?
I want you to know that on the services side, we are fully committed to providing you the same quality of service, dedication, care, and compassion you have grown to know and love. We are still the S. Montgomery Admissions Consulting family; we still believe in helping you not just get into college or law school, but thrive once you are there with continued resources, alumni community, and wellness events. Structurally, the difference is that now S. Montgomery Admissions Consulting is a brand name underneath the parent company, Outline It, Inc. Outline It, Inc. is what will be reflected on your billing statements.
How will services change?
As mentioned, your quality of service will not decrease. In fact, your quality of service will increase because beginning in July, all service college and law school packages will include (at no additional cost) a monthly subscription to Outline It’s web application. You will be able to use the tool with our guidance to help you craft the strongest essays possible. In fact, for those of you who have been with us for a while, you will recognize many parts of the web application as being very similar to the Story Matrix and Choosing and Organizing Your Stories graphic organizers you are familiar with.
What other benefits will Outline It bring me?
The great thing about the Outline It web application is that you can use it for academic papers as well. We have designed Outline to support you in your college and law school academic papers. So feel free to use it to get that A on your paper in the fall! Not currently using our services? Outline is available for just $10/month. We’re happy to give the first month free to all of our former clients.
